RefundIndex is an independent Canadian consumer information website published by Robert Roy. This page explains how we aim to research our guides, correct errors and keep editorial material distinct from advertising or affiliate relationships.
Research and Official Sources
We prioritize relevant official Canadian retailer and service-provider policies, support materials, subscription terms, return portals and public government or regulatory information. We seek to verify significant conditions such as time limits, eligibility, fees and cancellation routes before presenting them as facts. A policy from another country is not assumed to apply in Canada.
Independence and Canadian Context
Unless a relationship is expressly disclosed, our coverage does not mean a brand has sponsored, endorsed or approved the article. We aim to separate voluntary company policies from applicable consumer rights and to identify provincial differences when relevant. Our material provides general information rather than advice tailored to an individual legal dispute.
Clarity and Originality
Article structure should reflect the questions raised by the particular store or service. We aim to avoid repetitive filler, invented customer experiences, fabricated testing claims and unverified guarantees. Hypothetical examples, if used, should be clearly identified as illustrations.
Corrections and Updates
Policies and official contact details change. When a reliable source shows that a guide is inaccurate, we aim to review and correct it. Articles may state when they were checked or updated. To report an issue, email contact@refundindex.com with the article URL, the specific issue and an official source where possible. Not every request will result in a change.
Planned Advertising
RefundIndex plans to use advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising may appear alongside independently prepared guides once it is enabled. Displaying an advertisement does not make us a representative of the advertiser or a guarantor of its products, services or policies. Planned Affiliate Links
RefundIndex may join affiliate programmes. If affiliate links are introduced, we may receive a commission for qualifying actions taken after a reader follows an eligible link. When a particular article contains a material commercial relationship, we will disclose it clearly close to the relevant content rather than relying only on this general page. Such links do not give us control of a merchant’s return or refund procedure.
Sponsored Coverage and Material Relationships
If we publish sponsored content or accept a material arrangement affecting a specific publication, we will label that relationship clearly. Paid promotion will not be presented as independent editorial coverage without appropriate disclosure. We do not invent reviews, testimonials, personal use or testing results.
